Dear Mr. Slattery,
Here's the letter I sent to RPCVs in general but I see a real opportunity to support Friends of India here (but note the end date). Check it out.
When Sargent Shriver presented me with the “To Serve Again” award from the NCRPCV (predecessor to the National Peace Corps Association) in the late 1980's, I thought it was a fitting end to years of activity growing from my Peace Corps days in the Darién Rain Forest of Panama.
But as you must know, it never ends. And as you must also know, it never really feels like work – there’s just too much pleasure in it.
My latest project, for example, involves an amazing odyssey with our jungle-built ocean cruising ketch Pajaro Jai and its Emberá crew up the west coast of North America where it will visit all coastal cities.
As is always the case, we will offer RPCV groups the free use of the beautiful yacht to promote and support any of their local or even global projects. You will discover on the following link that the yacht is a publicity magnate and that this is a very powerful way to focus projects and get broad-based support for them. (groups don't have to be physically located on the coast to participate and we'll be traveling the East Coast, Europe and the Mediterranean in 2015).
Please take a look at the link and consider the possibilities.

As you can see we are also experimenting with Kickstarter "crowd funding" micro-investment ($25 and up) for project funding. It works via exponentiation of contacts, so if the film and the ideas ring true for you please feel free to share this email with RPCV's in your organization. And if you know of any other networks - or family, or friends, etc. - which might welcome a chance to join in this adventure, please feel free to send this on to them as well.
Thanks for your attention.
Sincerely yours,
Jim Brunton (Panama 1967-70)
PS: Investors will not be charged unless the whole project is funded. We have till January 14th to pull this Kickstarter project off and fund the West Coast Odyssey.
